Iris Sandham Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Mrs. Iris Dolores Sandham, age 79 of Snellville, GA died July 6, 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Rudder Eddy and several brothers and sisters and is survived by her husband, W. Alfred Sandham; daughters and sons-in-law, Latana and Matt Hundeby of Snellville, Samya and Ray Giannetta of Snellville, Tammi Nash of Florida, Beth and Robert Head of Columbus, Oh; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Mary Ann Vig of Lawrenceville, Marty and Sue Martin of Lawrenceville, William Sandham of Westerville, OH, Robert and Kathy Sandham of Franklin, OH; sister, Vivian Smith of Weirton, WV; brothers, Nile and Mary Sue Eddy, Jerry and Ruth Eddy, Mark Eddy all of Parkerburg, WV, Leon Eddy and Kaye Eddy of Charleston, WV; 18 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Sandham was an avid horseshoe pitching enthusiast, State Women's Champion for 11 years. At National NHPA Championship, she has been the runner-up for the Sr. Women's Championship Class 2 times in the past years. She holds 3 World Class Championships and many medals in Sr. Olympic activity at the county, state and national levels. She was the coolest grandma ever and the best mother anyone could ever have. The family will receive friends Friday, July 8 from 4 until 7pm at Wages Snellville Chapel with a service at 7pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, for the3day.org for sponsorship of Latana Hundeby, or to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Iris Dolores Sandham. I have given my condolences pseronally to Al and Family. Iris was my one and only sister-in-law and a great person. She will be sadly missed by myself and all of Al & Iris's neices and nephews in the van Vliet family.
