HARBIN, Jackie Mr. Jackie Harbin, age 60 of Lithonia, died Thursday, December 31, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Jane Neal Harbin, Lithonia; children, Melanie and David Moon, Covington, Dawn and Robert LaChance, Covington, Dana and Micheal Bruce, Covington, Andy and Cynthia Harbin, Lithonia, Jeffery and Chrissy Harbin, Lithonia; grandchildren, Meredith Causey, Taylor Causey, Kristen and J. B. West, Laura Rodriguez, Travis Rodriguez, Tyler Rodriguez, Ryan Bruce, A. J. Harbin, J. R. Harbin; great-grandchild, Bryce West; brother, Joey and Denise Harbin, Covington; sister, Julia and Bob Head, Lithonia. Mr. Harbin was a member of Lithonia Lodge #84 and was Worshipful Master in 2004. He served on the Lithonia City Council for 14 years, was retired from HGP Glass Company after 8 years, a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and served in the United States Army 2nd Division serving in Korea. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Hughes, Rev. Ronnie Powell and Dr. Jim Martin officiating; interment will follow at Lithonia City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday, January 1, 2010 from 5 until 9 p.m. and Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852 or the American Heart Association, P. Jane and family,
I am so very sorry to hear about Jackie. I have so many fond memories of him and all of you. I just found out about his passing and just wanted to say that my family and I are truly very sorry for your loss. May God bless you in this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Jackie when I worked at Huggin's Food Mart in Lithonia in the mid 1970's when I was to young to drive. I learned so many things from working with him. Every time I would see Joey I would ask about Jackie. My thoughts at prayers are with the family.

I used to live next door to the Harbin family and was shocked to find out about Jackie's passing. My prayers go out to all the family members. We can take comfort in John 5:29 which says that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and be raised to live again on earth. I'm sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear of this. My heart goes out to the family. Mother would be there but her mind is not good now. She has moved to an assisted living in Greensboro very near Marilyn and I am still in California. God Bless you all and give you strength to make it through this very hard time.
