Jakob was an incredible person, one that could brighten the most ill lit room. It has taken me along time to write, maybe because I had not seen much of Jakob before this tragedy and I am regreting that everyday. I hope that he is in a peaceful place where others can benefit from all the wonderful things he has to give. Jakob you live in our hearts forever.

My deepest condolences to all Jakob's family and friends. Such a tragedy that someone so bright and so talented was taken from us so early. I knew him from my son, and he had a wonderful sense of humor and was such a fine artist. We'll all miss him.

Dearest Pia and Bo,
I remember so many times I have heard both of you talk about Jakob and his life. Sometimes talk of worries like any parent would have about school and other choices in life, but mostly about his interests, ambitions and what a wonderful boy he was. He was special and it is so sad that he has left you, and all of us, so suddenly. Both Ulrica and I want you to know that our warm thoughts are with you in these trying times.

Dearest Pia and Bo,
I've cried enough. It's time to laugh. And so, I've begun remembering some of the "exploits" that Ted and Richard and Jakob-part of the AIS Tall Tribe- managed to pull off. Particularly the icy night they had, along with several other famous AISers, who shall remain nameless, crept off to the golf course and engaged in mischief. And I remember yelling my head off at all three of them and all the while knowing that the only regret was getting caught. Later, I found out they only got caught once. How wonderful is youth! How sweet to know I carry that young man in my heart and soul forever. He was a brother to Ted and as such, a son to me. I've cried enough for you and me and all of us. Jakob is right here and will remain right here showing us more and more love each day.
My sincere appreciation for bringing such a wonder into the world!

I just want to say that Jakob was such a wonderful person with a huge heart. I have known him for years and I have to say that he always knew how to brighten someone's day. I never saw him in a bad mood or even the slightest bit sad....he had such a wonderful outlook on life and I really admired that about him. I remember talking to him right before he had to go put his dog to sleep and he was so calm and still had a smile on his face. I remember asking him if he was ok and he explained that he loved that dog and would miss it terribly but that it was better because the dog would no longer suffer. Jakob, we all miss you terribly....your memories will never fade away..you will always be remembered.
My love goes out to the Nilsson family-you are all in my prayers.

Jakob was a good friend that always wore a smile on his face. I am eternally grateful to have met Jakob and my only regret is that I was not able to share more time with him. Jakob's way of living life to the fullest will always stay with me. I quest to enjoy living my life the way he enjoyed living his. Jakob will live forever in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.

It seems like yesterday Jakob was at my house looking at photos of my brother who passed away this May trying to comfort me in any way he could. No words can express how great the loss of a family member is but know that your friends and family, and friends of Jakobs, are here to share your pain. Jakob shared my pain when my brother passed, and the only comfort I find now is knowing that Jakobs not alone, Matts not alone, and I will never be alone again. Jakob will always be with us in our hearts and fondest memories as will your family in our prayers and thoughts.

Mr. and Mrs. Nilsson,
You do not know me but I knew Jakob well. When with him, I always knew that, even if I knew no one else, I would always have a friend to talk to and laugh with. Jakob's memory will forever live in my heart. I am so very sorry for your loss. But as many people have said, you have so many people thinking about and praying for you every day. I hope that might help ease your immense pain just a small bit. Jakob- you will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Sincerely,
Alexis Bolen

Dear Pia and Bo,
My heart breaks for you.
Jakob's wonderful personality, his dry sense of humor, and all is amazing talents will be missed terribly. I remember his passion for skateboarding.
He and Jonathan built these incredible contraptions in our basememnt to serve as half pipes for their skateboarding exploits. I have the image of these two fearlessly jumping off planks they had set at an impossible incline. I can still see the triumphal look in Jakob's eyes every time he completesd the very difficult and scary course he had designed.
Jakob's memory will be with us forever.
With deepest sympathy,

Dear Bo and Pia-
Although I just met you for the first time (since high school) the other day, I want to let you know that you both are constantly in my thoughts. Jakob has and always will hold a dear part of my heart, and it comforts me to remember the wonderful, sweet, funny, and crazy things he brought into my life. You have the support of so many people that love both him and you, and I'd like to thank you particularly for taking me, as a visitor, into your home during such a difficult time. Much love,

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to Jakob family. My family and I just recently met Jakob, during a karting race in Charlotte. I was impressed by what a good young man he was. He took my son under his wing and the two of them seemed to have a wonderful weekend. I can't even begin to express the sorrow we feel for his loss. He was an inspiration to my son, and a bright spot during a cloudy weekend. Even though we did not know him long, he will forever live in our memories.
