James BOULWARE Obituary

BOULWARE, James Henry "Jim" James Boulware, 78 peacefully passed away on January 20, 2019 after battling cancer. He is survived by his wife, Maraul Margaret Boulware, his children Margaret Lynn Fitton, Ann Marie McMahon, Monica Jeanne Witte & husband David, Martha Boulware Watts, his grandchildren Chesley Fitton, Katelyn Vorherr, Taylor & Megan Witte, Connor McMahon, his four great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, his brother Ozzie Boulware & sisters Betty Jean Boulware & Ruth Ann Bell. He was predeceased by his father the late Oscar Boulware & mother Margaret Boulware. James was born on December 14, 1940 in Shreveport, Louisiana and at age 9 moved to Atlanta and graduated from Marist College High School in 1958. While attending Georgia State University, he met Maraul, his wife of 56 years, and the two were married on August 4, 1962. After graduating with an accounting degree, James began his career with Peat Marwick Mitchell and then started his own CPA firm, James Boulware and Company CPA's in 1964. Over his 53 years as a CPA, he built long lasting relationships with his clients. He brought dedication, sincerity, and trust to deliver the best results for their businesses. James known as 'Jim' to his friends will be remembered as a 'Giant of a Man' not only in stature, but also his presence and personality to all. An avid tennis player he was a lifelong member of Ansley Golf Club, a beloved football and University of Georgia Dawg fan, a sailor, had a love of great food, great music, and enjoyed spending his weekends in their mountain home in Blue Ridge, Georgia. His love of animals led to many family pets over the years but his true love were his English Bulldogs, Georgia, Rosie, and Bubba. He was a devoted and loving husband, a caring father to his four daughters, instilling in them the important values in life. 'Big Jim' will be greatly missed. Memorial Service. Friday February 8, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church with a reception to follow, 7171 Glenridge Dr., Atlanta, GA 30328. The patriarch of our extended family! We will all greatly miss his strength, his presence, and his ability to somehow connect all of us through great food, simple family fun, good Georgia football and really good old country music. I will miss him! Love to all my dear cousins and the loss they feel now.
