James Lamar Gunter, age 70 of Dacula, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Inez Pellmann Gunter of Dacula, GA, Mother; Lois Hannah Gunter of Lawrenceville, GA, Son and Daughter in law; Tim and Kandee Godfrey and their children Courtney, Amanda and Joshua all of Cumming, GA, Daughters: Carol Gunter of Dacula, GA, and Teresa and Kenny Owens and their children Starr, K.C. and Stephanie of Sugar Hill, GA, Sister and Brother in law; Elizabeth and Jerry Martin, Brothers and Sisters in law; Jearold and Vivian Gunter, Richard and Sharyn Gunter, Aunt; Opal Thrasher all of Lawrenceville, GA, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lamar was preceded in death by his father Harold Gunter, son David Gunter, daughter Susan Godfrey, nephew Mike Gunter, great niece Hannah Leigh Boyd. Lamar a native of Gwinnett County was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. He was retired from the Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta after 23 years of service. He worked over 20 years as parking manager at the Fulton County Stadium, Atlanta, and was a Manager of Parking for many years at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta. After leaving Piedmont Hospital he was a part time Funeral Assistant with Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford and Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, Lawrenceville. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2007 at Prospect United Methodist Church, Lawrenceville. Rev. H. Grady Mosley II will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Tom M.
