Family-Placed Death Notice
JAMES SONNY HICKS James Sonny Hicks, 62 of Kennesaw, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006.Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Marietta, Georgia with Rev. Richard Goodwin officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Marietta, Georgia.Mr. Hicks was a life long resident of Marietta. He attended the Marietta school system and worked for Fleming Carpets for the past 16 years as a warehouse manager. Mr. Hicks was a member of the First Baptist Church of Acworth.Survivors include his wife, Nikki Hicks of Kennesaw; two daughters, Nicole Jacobs of Acworth; Brittany Hicks of Kennesaw; one son, Charles Hicks, Marietta; mother, Helen Hicks of Marietta; sister, Saundra Fleming of Acworth; three grandchildren, Jenna Hicks, Sara Hicks and Sheldon Wilson.Contributions may be made to the Community Bank of the South, Brittany Hicks Scholarship Fund, 3324 Canton Road, Marietta, Georgia 30066.Family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Marietta, Georgia.
