In a world (TV) full of egos and flaring tempers, Jim Kitchell, as a VP for CNN, could always be counted on to be calm and a voice of reason in the midst of chaos. He was a wonderful person to work with and to know. We stayed in touch after we both left CNN and I always enjoyed hearing his stories of working on the moon space projects and other things. He was a brilliant man and a pioneer in some areas such as space coverage for television. His technical expertise helped greatly when setting up CNN back in 1980. It was a pleasure knowing him and I was saddened to learn that he is no longer with us. The world has lost a decent, honorable man, of which we have far too few these days.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. May the God who "binds up the broken-hearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain you and your family during this difficult time(Isaiah 61:1,2).
