James Roberts Obituary
James Edward "Ed" Roberts, age 74, of Canton, GA, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Ed was born on March 15, 1948, in Atlanta, GA, and was the son of the late Paul and Lou Roberts. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and best friend, Donna Neal Chappell Roberts.
Ed retired from AT&T and was a proud Vietnam Veteran, master gardener, and avid woodworker. His favorite pastime though was spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and "Goo" to his family and a great friend to many.
Ed is survived by his son, James Edward Roberts Jr. and wife, Jodi; daughter, Angie Studstill and husband, Travis; four grandchildren, Alyssa Gilbride, Kaelyn and Morgan Roberts, and Trevor Studstill; sisters, Paula Rauschenberg and Susan Kennedy; and many other loving family and friends.

I met your lovely Mom and Dad when they purchased their home in Gardens of Harmony. I was the on site agent at the time that assisted your parents with their home purchase. I have kept up with a number of the residents and one recently shared of your Dad's passing. After receiving my Christmas card in 2021, your Dad sent me a beautiful note of thanks and wrote me a very touching note of the love story he shared with your Mom. At the time I did not know your Mom had passed and your Dad wanted to me to know and share their story. I am sure you have heard their their story many times...I kept his card in a file and if would like to have it, please let me know and I will find and mail to you. Your parents were a lovely couple and a pleasure to have met. My deepest sympathies to the family. Liz
