SLATON, James Mr. James Slaton, age 89, of Tyrone passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Slaton and is survived by his daughter, Julie Thomas and her husband, David of Newnan; son, Terry Slaton and his wife, Gail of Newnan; grandchildren, Stephen Thomas, Scott Thomas and his wife, Stephanie; great grand daughter, Hannah Thomas. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Chaplain Sharon Edgar officiating.
