Family-Placed Death Notice
GILBERT, Janet L. Janet L. Gilbert, age 66, loving wife, mother and grandmother and lifetime resident of Tucker passed away on Saturday October, 5, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Tom Gilbert; son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Amy Gilbert; grandson, Morgan Gilbert and granddaughter, Abigail Gilbert. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Tucker with Dr. Randy Shepley officiating, interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home Decatur, GA.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts about mom. She truly was a women who loved so many and cared about many. She will be missed greatly and please continue to pray for my family and I during the holiday season.

Tom and Family,
I have just learned of the passing of your loving wife and mother- My heart goes out to you all during your time of sorrow.
It is very hard to lose someone you love and cherish even when they have not been the best of health. You always keep the faith and pray that they round back to their old selves- We are never prepared for the finality.
Please know that my family sends its most sincere love and prayers. We ask that God give you strength through this transition- and for the days that follow-

We have followed your Mom's final,life battles with thanks to your updates. I know how much you loved her. We regret that we are out of town or we would had been there for the service. Melwood Cemetery is such a pretty peaceful place. I bet Mr. Morgan will take her under his wing and welcome her to heaven. Peace and Love be with you and your family.
