I had the honor of playing young Jimmie Kate in "Christmas Gift" at the Art Station in Stone Mountain 5 years ago. I had an even greater honor of meeting the lovely lady whom I played. What an amazing woman! From her childhood memories that were captured in the play to her very real and amazing self- I could see that Jimmie Kate was a woman of great principles and true compassion. This was a woman who I did not want to emulate just for a script, but a lady whose character I will strive to model and she will remain an inspiration in my life.
(Mr. Sams: If you read this, thank you for sharing the life of your sister and your family through your marvelous stories. So many more people got to know this amazing woman though your beautiful words.)

Mrs. Cole was my English teacher back in 1960-61. She not only was the best teacher but a wonderful person. She was always my very favorite. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. She truly made a difference in my life.
