BLAKE, John Jerald "Jerry" John "Jerry" Jerald Blake, age 74, of Lilburn, Ga., passed away Sunday morning, July 2, 2017. A graveside service will be Friday, July 7, 2017, at 1:30 pm in Westview Cemetery. Jerry was born in Sheffield, Alabama April 9, 1943, graduated from Decatur High School in 1960 and earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University in 1970. He was a proud U. S. Marine and member of the U. S. Marine Reserves. He had a successful career in the wire and cable business as a plant manager and sales manager. An avid fisherman and gun enthusiast, he was a member of the NRA, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and a member of the Marietta BASS Club. He was a dedicated husband and father was is appreciated for his wisdom and forthright advice. He will be in the memories of family and friends forever. Jerry is survived by his wife, Sarah Ann Blake of Lilburn; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Bruce Duhamel of Atlanta; sons and daughters-in-law, John, Jr. and Roxanne Blake, of Lilburn, Brian and Ruth Blake of Braselton; grandchildren, Morgan Blake, Victoria Blake, Cameron Blake, Spencer Blake and by his brother, Stephen O. Blake of Key West. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents John Oliver and Floy H. Blake, brother Joseph Blake. Online condolences may be left at www.billheadfuneralhome.com.
