ALFORD, Jon Leslie Jon Leslie Alford, age 68, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles J. and Eleanor Alford. He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Roz Landman Alford, Buford, GA; children, Christopher and Shara Lessing, Johns Creek, GA, Jason and Joanne Alford, Grayson, GA; grandchildren, Jack Alford, Jordan Alford, Talon Adkins; brothers, Walter C. "Wally" and Lynn Alford, Lawrenceville, GA, Charles J. "Buzz" and Jean Alford, Flowery Branch, GA; several nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews. Mr. Alford was born August 14, 1947 in Atlanta, GA. He was a veteran of the United States National Guard. 1965 graduate of Tucker High School and a 1968 graduate of the University of GA with a Bachelors Degree. He was a retired Title Examiner with The Alford Family Law Firm in Tucker GA for many years. He was co-owner of American Systems and Programming until 1998. He was involved in The Serenity House in Buford for over twenty years. He played in a band with The Georgia Dawgs. He was an avid GA Bulldog fan. A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Jon Leslie Alford will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating and Eulogy by: Bill Milner. Entombment will be at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Serenity House of Buford 4297 Highway 20 Suite 1-D Buford, GA 30518 in memory of Jon L. Alford. Immediately following the service the family and friends will assemble at Dominick's Restaurant located at 22 Buford Village Way Buford GA 30518.
