Sorry for the very late entry, but just found out about Joe's passing, today.
Joe was truly a great friend at Delta. I was already at Delta when he came to us from Pan Am. We became instant friends and I always enjoyed working with him.
When I retired on October 31, 2000, Joe took pictures of the event and sent me a scrap book of all the pictures. I will always treasure that book.
The world has lost a very great and nice individual, that will be missed by all that knew him. Joe was very special.

Rest in peace, my friend.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I first met Joe in the early 80's, where he had recently come to Pan Am from National Airlines. He was a good friend and a mentor to me. His calming demeanor and great sense of humor helped alleviate many difficult situations, both in Miami and Atlanta. You will be sorely missed Joe. Rest in peace, my friend.
