Our sympathy to Joe's family...I was associated with Joe at Paris, TN's Henry County Hospital -- he hired me to work in the business office of this newly opened facility 1953-1954...I was 21 years old, married a couple of years with a new baby girl--Joe was supportive, understanding and helped us with a start-up in married life. (We celebrated our 60th anniversary this year). As the obit outlines, he was certainly diversified and interested in everything wherever he was! He wears the title of "organizer of the World's Largest Fish-Fry" held at Paris near the Kentucky Lake--I assisted him in administrative functions in this project. I learned he was capable in hospital administrator duties, while functioning effectively in county politics dealing with local staff doctors and governmental officials. He made a fine contribution to that community early in his career. He will be remembered with fondness and respect. Mary Malcom McDonough GA (e-mail address: [email protected])
