I realize this entry is really late, but I wanted family/friends to know that Dr. Munoz treated my niece and me as children in the early 1970s. She and my niece got along fine, but I would always cry and holler when we went to see her because she was usually about to give me a shot. I remember my mother, now also deceased, laughing about how Dr. Munoz would say "She always cries when she sees me" with a fake "sad face" smile and that because I put up such a fuss, Dr. Munoz finally started just sneaking up on me before I could react and giving me the shot. I remember those visits and I laugh about them now because Dr. Munoz was so sweet -- and it was the shots that scared me, not her. My niece, who loved her dearly and was always excited to see her, is now a doctor herself -- an anesthesiologist here in Atlanta -- and she has her own students/residents. I have to say that I think Dr. Munoz was one of her earliest influences and she, like Dr. Munoz, works hard to give her patients the best care with compassion but always with professionalism. Thanks for all those shots, Dr. Munoz. You were the best and our family still loves to recall the days when we were your patients and you kept us well. God bless.

Dr. Juana Munoz was my pediatrician when I was a child. She delivered me at South Fulton Hospital in East Point, GA and was my doctor until I was a teenager. My mother loved her so much that she named me Juachelle because she thought "Juana" was a beautiful name. I am now 42 years old and I am saddened to hear this news. My prayers are with her family. She was a wonderful and kind woman and an awesome doctor!

So sad to hear of the passing of Dr Munoz, she was a vital part of our lives for many years as she was mine and also my three children's pediatrician and would have been my grandchildren's pediatrician except for the fact she retired.
To this day, I have every monthy visit chart for each of my kids written in her beautiful penmanship and I will cherish them even more now. You will be greatly missed and can never be replaced!

My sister in law introduced us to Dr Munoz when we had our first child in 1969. When our daughter became very ill at 6 weeks, she diagnosed the problem, sent us to a great surgeon that saved our baby. Dr munoz was a compassionate & caring doctor that was with us every step of this terrifying time for new parents. We are so thankful we had Dr Munoz caring for us. Our prayers & sympathy to the Munoz family.

I know the Munoz family didn't know us personally, but my son, Matthew, went to Dr. Munoz when he was a little boy. I remember her being such a wonderful person as well as a wonderful doctor. She treated my son until he got older. I sure did like her alot, and would have recommended her to anyone.
May the Lord bless you all, and give you peace. She really was a wonderful doctor and person. !!!

To the family of Dr. Munoz,
I was just talking about her the other day with another former patient. She was an extraordinary women and even more so as a doctor. She was old school and really cared about all of her patients. I was so sad when she retired and even sadder to read of her passing.

Dear Munoz family, I am a grown woman [44] now but Dr. Munoz was my family's pediatrician for many years. I remember her fondly and loved learning Spanish when I visited her office. When my Mother told me of her passing, tears just welled up in my eyes and are still there as I write this note. Our Lord has a new angel in heaven as we had here on earth with her all these years. May God bless you and your family always.

I was saddened to hear of Dr. Munoz's passing. She was my pediatrician for 18 years, and she set a high standard of care! In trying to find a pediatrician for my own children, she has been the standard of comparison. I've thought of her fondly many times over the years. She genuinely cared for her patients and made sure they received the best care, often going above and beyond. She will be missed!

I'm sorry to hear of Doctor Munoz's passing. I was a patient of hers till 18 then she let me come in and assist her summer of 1981 to see if I would like to be a ped. I did but did not stick it out unfortunately. I got to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 til 12 that summer with her nephew Alex. Alex, if you see this, email me. I'd like to see how you 've been. Its been a long time. I loved Dr. Munoz!. Don Harber [email protected].
