Sincere condolences to the family. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure in your heart and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace, Hosea 13:14.

One of the best human beings ever. An amazing friend over 20 years that will be deeply missed. Life won't be the same without him.
My deep condolences to Fred, to Mike and Chris, to Aedan, to his Missouri family, his Lockheed family, his USAF family, to anyone fortunate enough to have met him.

Keith was one of the kindness people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Always pleasant and willing to assist any way he could. My prayer is that his family will find comfort in knowing he left a lasting, positive impression if you were ever fortune enough to meet him.

Keith was a gifted aviator, great staff officer, dear friend and a very special person who I will truly miss. He always was so cool and had a great sense of humor. We were neighbors for a while in Burke Va and he did so much for me and my family. I always admired him for his wisdom and his positive outlook.
God speed my dear friend and always remember that I would fly on your wing anytime, anyplace.
I will miss you.

Keith Cat Ballou, your team on the F-22 is proud to have known and worked with you. You contributed not only at Lockheed but every where you were stationed with the Air Force. Our personal relationship goes back to your Air Force days when you were the F-16 PEM and I was the domestic F-16 business development guy for Lockheed Martin. I set up a new program which was updating all of the F-16 action officer's. That included you and your organization in the Pentagon as well as all of the F-16 people at tactical air command working the F-16 Program. We would all meet once a year in Fort Worth Texas to get everybody on the same page. You then moved on to work in general Myers office. Dick Myers who later went on to be chairman of the JCS. Myers though very highly of you. When I moved from Fort Worth Texas to Marietta Georgia to be head of the F 22 business development program you met me at the airport and took me to your favorite restaurant Scalinis. That was the beginning of a great team and a great time. With Keith, Dick Mather, Mitch Adams, Greg Caires, and Trish Boykin we formed the nuclious of the F 22 team. Together with Sam grizzle from communications and Mark Hodge from the Washington office we traveled the United States with the F 22 cockpit making our case for the F 22. We worked hard and we played hard but we bonded as no other team did at LM. You will be sorely missed by all who knew and have worked with you but especially your team at F-22 business development gang. Rest in peace Keith. I know Jesus needed a great executive officer and that is why He called you home early. Joe and Rita Oberle

Here's to Keith Bilyeu! Always a smile and a laugh. A friend to all, known for doing whatever it took to get a job done perfectly. He could walk with those little legs faster than most of us could run. He could spin a yarn or tell a joke faster than you could grab your ribs that hurt from laughing. He was a man who never said no and who had a heart bigger than anyone. We are honored that Keith was a part of our lives and will miss him greatly. We send condolences to his family and hope the knowledge that he is in a better place will ease your grief. Honestly, Heaven just got a big upgrade! Rest in Peace, Cat Man.

keith was as fine and decent a man as I have ever known. I was one of his his instructors in FB-111 initial training and we became good friends. Our families spent a great deal of time on Lake Champlain in a Glastron ski boat that was almost communal property between us. Keith's presence will be missed by all those who knew him.

Keith and I were married in 1972 and he is the father of our 2 children, Chris and Mike. We lived on a farm, in Ozark, MO. When he was laid off for the 2nd time from the Zenith Corp factory in Springfield, MO, I remember him securing my father's blessings about joining the Air Force. And I recall his words during basic training of how much he enjoyed the atmosphere and friendships he made. Keith was thrilled to be a part of the USAF, as B-52 and FB-111 navigator as well as when he was at the Pentagon in Special Operations and working with the Joint Chiefs. We parted ways in 1996, but remained close friends - speaking frequently about our children and grandson Aedan. Keith was happy during his last few years. He took several flights to France visiting friends of his and Fred's. They also took an around-the-world tour sending us pictures along all the stops. Some of the most fun memories recently were when Keith and Fred sang songs together for us to play for our grandson. We cherish all of these memories, and more, because our family shares everyone's great sadness in losing Keith.

Keith and I were both in the same flying squadron at Plattsburgh, NY in the mid-late 1980s. He was an outstanding Radar Navigator and one of the most decent and likeable human beings that many of us ever had the pleasure of knowing. May the Lord bless him and keep him.

Dear Keith - Those of us who slipped the surly bonds of Earth with you will always treasure those memories. You set the standard as a first class aviator, treasured crew-mate, and personal friend. Our world will not be the same without you. It was a true honor to fly with you, to pull alert together, and to share our friendship. I hope the flying schedule in Heaven has room for you - you were a natural. Please put in a good word for those of us planning to follow in your footsteps. It was an honor to serve with you and call you friend, Sincerely - Tony and Kathy Imondi

Keith Cat Bilyeu was a legend at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Keith was the anchor of our F-22 Raptor Business Development, Communication and Program team. We were (and remain to this day) a tight team of friends largely because of Keith's magnetic personality, his relentless dedication to ensure that the F-22 became an operational reality and because of his informal but oh-so-effective leadership and team building skills. Keith was a story teller - - some would say he was a long talker - - and, so we all knew the positive impact the Bilyeu family had on our teammate. His dad provided the work ethic, his mom the personality and compassion we all benefited from, and his brother and twin sister were his personal hero's. Keith's was extraordinarily proud of his two boys and Pops knew his grandson hung the moon. He was intensely devoted to his immediate family, and, to his extended Air Force, Lockheed Martin and Atlanta family of friends. I know the Bilyeu's are suffering because their brother, dad and grandfather has been taken from them too soon. Cat's Lockheed Martin teammates are suffering too because we've lost our mentor and buddy Keith. The world will be a lesser place now that this air warrior's mission here on earth is complete. It was an absolute honor and privilege to have called Keith our teammate and friend. All of us are fortunate to have known him - - we'll be forever in your debt for all the life lessons and wonderful memories little buddy ....
