Dear Gladys,
So sorry to hear about Kenneth's passing. I believe I was his first graduate student at CSUN. He inspired me to continue my physical chemistry career. I have great memories of Kenneth and he will indeed be missed. RIP Kenneth.
Condolences to you and your family.

Dear Gladys,

It just occurred to me to Google Ken's name and found out that he had passed in December of 2018. I had e-mailed him in November of 2018 and was disappointed not to have heard back (should have Googled him at that time).

JoAnn and I are very sad -- it's so hard to say goodbye to old friends. Ken and I met in Sept. of 1937 when I transferred to Hester Elementary School (coincidentally Jerry Concklin started at Hester at the same time and we all became good friends). I could give childhood memories for a long time (I'm sure you may remember my reciting the poem that Ken had written in the 5th grade about fishing). We both played on the same basketball team at Lincoln in 1945 and had several classes together.

JoAnn and I are happy that you and Ken had such a long and happy marriage and that he had such a long and successful career. We know this has been a hard time for you and hope we may see you again.

Best Wishes,
Ed and JoAnn

Gladys I am so saddened to hear about Kenneth's passing. He was so kind and always had that happy smile on his face. I will miss "bumping" in to him in the kitchen at the Bridge Club. He was always nice to the bridge people no matter their skill level. I will never forget his kindness in mentoring me back in May. My thoughts are with you at this time.

Love,
Keith
