CARROLL, Kieran KIERAN CHRISTOPHER CARROLL Kieran Christopher Carroll of Atlanta died on November 9, 2012 at age 85. He was known by his middle name "Chris" to friends and co-workers in the United States. Chris was born on December 11, 1926 in Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland, the son of James Carroll and Margaret McCann Carroll. Chris came to the U.S. in the late 1950s, became a U.S. citizen and worked for Life Office Management Association as a purchasing agent in New York and Atlanta, retiring after 30 years service. Survivors include his devoted niece Mary Ruane Brogan of Ballina, his nephew Tom Connolly of New York, and many relatives in Ireland. He is also survived by numerous friends in Atlanta, including Susan Roberts LeCraw, Peter Melton, Art Auerbach, Doug Ikelman, Doyle Jones, Mickey Betts, Ric Wilson, Kathleen Gooding and Tom Saunders and his devoted cat, Monet. Chris proudly celebrated his heritage, including baking Irish soda bread annually on St. Patrick's Day for numerous friends. He will be remembered for his Irish wit, always in a good mood and ready with a quip. His family and friends wish to thank Brighton Gardens on Lenox Road for their exceptional care to Chris over the last six months. Thanks also to Piedmont Hospital for their care over the years and most recently Dr. Kila Dabney-Smith of Piedmont Physicians Senior Wellness.
