Rhonda,
I was going through my old emails tonight, and came across the link to this sight, and thought I would see what new postings are here. I still miss Kim from time to time. I hate that I'm so far away, that I can't stop by and talk when I want to remember things. I hope you and Connie are doing well. Drop a line if you get a chance.

Rhonda and Connie,
I was telling a highschool friend about Kim today and had to look up some information. I still think about Kim often and am glad this is still here and that there are still pictures and articles out there on the web. I would love to hear from either or both of you. Kim always made me smile back as she was always smiling first.

I pray for ALL of you daily. I can't forget the day Kim went to heaven because it is the day before Lauren's birthday and I can't forget Kim's birthday because we share that day. I lost my brother 18 years ago and it still hurts. I read all of the wonderful things that people have written that have know Kim... some for a very long time and some for only a short period. It must make all of you feel WONDERFUL. Know that angels are around you and that you have so many people praying for all of you!

I am writing this especially to Kim's mom.
I am so, so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful and precious daughter. I, too, lost my child on April 7, 2006, so I know the pain of your heart break much too well. There are just no words that can ever express the deep pain and agony of a mother's grief when her child dies, and time will never heal your broken heart, nor mine, but maybe someday you will find a little comfort knowing Kim is in a good place and God will take care of her for you and you will see her again. I know Kim's spirit is there with you all the time, and she always has her arms wrapped around you. I will remember you in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Patti Woosley

To the Boyd, McCollum and Ryder families:
I want you to know I thought of you so so many times today with such a heavy heart. I want you to know that I prayed for you...that God would hold you tight today as you have to relive the pain of a year ago today. It brings joy to think of all you have accomplished in Kim's name in one short year! Her legacy truly lives on through you, her family. I am proud to have been Kim's friend, and I pray continuously that as Rhonda's friend, I can somehow even partially fill the void left in her heart. As you move into the second year, my new prayer for you is that you can find a "new normal" somewhere along the way. Love you all!

Michael,
I have enjoyed reading all the messages that friends and family have written to Kim and to you and the kids, over the past year.
I think of your family often and hope that time is healing your pain. Is there any way that AJC can keep Kim's guest book on for a longer period of time. I'm sure it's nice for you to see when people are thinking of you and wishing you peace. Take care!

Just a day short of a year gone by without Kim... it breaks my heart over and over again. It comforts me to know however how much she is loved and what her legacy has left behind. Kim's family and her friends are all very special people. I am proud to be one of Kim's sister's best friends. I will continue to support Rhonda and her family in any way that I can. God bless all of you this week and always. Love, Kim

Mike and family - somehow our paths continually crossed from East Cobb to Wheeler High to the theater work I did in your home to my business with your Budget store. How I desperately wish it hadn't crossed again at Kim's funeral. My heart still aches for you at the loss of your "angel on earth". I think of her quite often - and hold my wife a bit tighter when I do. I hope that you and the kids are coping ok these days. If there's anything that I can do, please call me. I look forward to our paths crossing again during better circumstances. Take care and God Bless.

Michael,
We played all-star ball in Blueridge last year. That was the last time I saw Kim's happy personality. I read my Atlanta Magazine yesterday. Your artical is very touching and I loved the photos of the kids and all the pictures on the walls. Chloe's shoes on her dresser brought tears to my eyes.
My son played in Blueridge again this year and we thought of your family and pray that you are making through the tough times. Take care, and THANKS for the wonderful article!

Hi Kimberly, it's Heather Durston's sister Lisa. WE MISS YOU!! There isn't a day that doesn't go by that we don't think of you and your beautiful smile. We have cried so many tears that you are no longer with us. We are so sad for the wonderful husband and two sweet, sweet children you left behind. We are sad for your mom and for Rhonda too. They LOVED you soooooo much. I think the last time I saw you was at the jewelry store. You sold me my engagement ring, that I will love and cherish even more because you sold it to my husband. Thank you for being there the day I came in. I hope heaven is perfect and you have adjusted to your wings. You must be one of the most beautiful angels up there. I know you are! Heather has shared some of the funniest stories of your friendship with her. I remember when you guys were just 5 years old. You two were soooo cute. Heather has a daughter 5 and a son 2 as you do. I hope all of your family is well. As with every life you touched Kimberly, we all miss you and love you. We wish you were here.

I did not know your beautiful wife, but I have followed her story closely, as we lost our beautiful daughter in law to Breast Cancer on August 27 leaving our son wih a 3 year old daughter. I read the newspaper article tonight about your fight to have legislation and laws/policies changed to prevent such a senseless act like this from occuring again. Please know that our family has been praying for you and your children. Please don't take "no" for an answer in your fight to make a difference. I have read the beautiful tributes to her and I am confident that she was a wonderful wife and mother. She would want you to do something that would bring good from such a tragic thing. God Bless You. Please keep the faith.
