Family-Placed Death Notice
DEESE, Laura Mrs. Laura James Deese, of Marietta, died Nov. 10, 2012. Mrs. Deese was born Aug. 1, 1938, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Charles Brady James and Laura Temple James. After graduation from Greenville High School, she moved to Atlanta to begin a banking career at Citizens and Southern National Bank, retiring from Bank of America as a trust officer. She was an avid Braves fan and a devoted supporter of local blood drives. Survived by her husband, David R. Nall III, Marietta; son, Mark Allen Deese and wife Michelle, Canton; siblings, Dorothy Wiley and husband Bill, Laurens, SC, Barbara "Dilsey" Glazier, Manchester, Peggy Pearson and husband Cecil, Charles Brady James III, all of Kennesaw, Nancy Bell, Merritt Island, FL; grandchildren, Tristan Deese, Savanna and Paige Satterfield; nieces, nephews, cousins. Preceded in death by sister, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Willingham; brothers in-law, Joe Glazier, R. B. Willingham, Charles Bell. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Luthersville Cemetery, with Elder Chris Hill officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Masonic Children's Home in Macon or Scottish Rite Children's Hospitals. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at McKibben Funeral Home, Hogansville. www.mckibbenfuneralhome.com

Laura and I were roommates in Atlanta after we graduated from high school. We kept in touch for years. Somehow we lost contact. I looked for her so many times only to find her obituary.
I would so like to talk to someone who can tell me about her. I really loved her. We had many good times together. My heart is broken that I did not see her before she died. I extend my deepest sympathy.
