Margaret Danzig Obituary

Family-Placed Death Notice

MARGARET DANZIG Margaret Danzig, loving daughter, mother, grandmother and beloved friend connected with people and made a difference every moment of her beautiful life. She was a gifted and compassionate listener who gave her love, energy and spirit to all those whom she met along the way. Humble despite magnificent life achievements: in education at Stanford and Harvard; as a successful business woman; as a devoted philanthropist for numerous causes including CARE International; and as a proud mother of two adoring sons - she always put others before herself. She passed away Monday morning from complications from lung cancer. She embodied courage, compassion, integrity and inspiration to others even in the face of her challenges. We will always miss you. Graveside services will be held today, September 14 at 4pm at Arlington Memorial Park (201 Mt. Vernon Rd. in Sandy Springs.) In lieu of flowers please make donations to CARE International (www.care.org). Arrangements by Dresslers Jewish Funeral Care, 770-451-4999.

Dear David and Josh

I know it was a long struggle for all of you, especially your Mom.

I knew her only a short time, but what a spectacular person. I feel that she has crossed over. She will always be remembered in our hearts at the Courtyard

God Bless All of you

Dear David & Josh,

What a precious friend your mom was throughout our school years together. I first knew her when we were freshmen at Stanford living in Branner Hall. Next we found ourselves as "garret mates" in Putnam House at the Harvard-Radcliffe Program, where we became true soul-mates. So much so, that the 2 of us transferred back to Stanford together for our 2nd year of Business School, joining the Class of 1964 and giving our classmates their first female class members. Margy was beloved by all who knew her because she shared her wisdom and concern for each and every person who spent time with her, listening with true warmth and understanding. A few years later, she flew out from the Midwest to be in our wedding, and I went up to San Francisco that same summer to attend her marriage to your Dad. Over the years, we always kept in touch and could always pick up right where we'd left off whenever we were able to be together, mostly at Stanford reunions. She certainly loved you boys and was so proud of you both!! I shall always miss her but am so grateful she was such an important part of my life. Love to you both from Laney Techentin
