Margaret Malone Obituary

Family-Placed Death Notice

Margaret Ann Malone went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2006. Margaret was born February 11, 1947 to Murray Carlos Underwood and Marguerite Adelaide Wilson. She grew up in Hapeville, GA meeting her future husband of 40 years, Bill, at age 8. She attended Hapeville High School and Georgia State College, pausing for many years to raise her family. Years later, she graduated from Clayton State with her degree in Accounting with a 4.0 GPA. For the past 33 years, Margaret resided in Fayetteville. She worked with Porex Technologies between two sessions with Fayette County Government, totaling 22 years. There, she held positions as County Clerk, Personnel Officer, Finance Officer, and most recently Elections Supervisor. Margaret had a giving, serving, and counseling heart and has been a great inspiration to many. She drew her strength through the Lord and loved services at Crossroads Church, Newnan, where she was a member for the last 6 years. She leaves wonderful memories to friends, husband William Boyce Malone, daughters Margaret Lynn and her husband Steven Thomas Crawshaw of Senoia, Lorie Ann Malone and grandson Justin Szamatowicz of Durham, NC, one aunt and several cousins. Justin was her delight and she loved to watch his growth and activities. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Carl J. Mowell & Son Chapel in downtown Fayetteville. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville- www.mowellfuneralhome.com

Buddy, Lynn, and Lorie; I am so saddened by Margaret Ann's death. As you know, we knew each other since we were three years old. We grew up as neighbors and great friends. After high school we drifted apart as many of us do, but I often recalled our childhood memories. I am glad to hear Margaret Ann was still sweet and caring until her death. She learned that from Margie and Murray who were also very sweet individuals. Now they are all together in Heaven once again. I can hear them calling her "Maggie Ann"! May God be with you and the family always. Love, Rita

Bill,

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your wife. I pray that God will give you comfort and peace. It's been a long time since we've spoken, I worked with you in Reservations at Delta many years ago. Take care and God bless.
