We had the privilege of meeting "Mom Mitchell" three years ago when, at the age of 83,she came to northern WI to attend the wedding of her grandson, David Fiebelkorn, to our daughter, Amy. What a delightful lady! Our deepest sympathy to her family.

Margaret - a friend from about 1932. I loved her, her Father and Mother. I looked up to them. We attended together Park Ave. Baptist in Grant Park. We both graduated from Commercial. During the past years, Margaret was the "solid" one who was a leader in keeping our Commercial Reunion Group together. I loved her as a great individual.

My sister lived in the Sharondale Court cul-de-sac with Margaret and so I knew Margaret well from the many afternoons we sat together in the circle in the 1980's while watching our kids play. Margaret was the epitome of a Southern lady, so gracious and charming. She called me very recently because my sister died on November 3, so I had the gift of reminescing with Margaret about the good ole days on Sharondale Court. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Jane Brown

Little do we realize the impact of one life on another....and that impact may last for generations. The fact that my parents moved to the Morningside neighborhood was because of my father's friendship with Margaret's parents..which also led to Morningside Baptist Church where I was raised with Margaret and Anita's families, along with Mr. Joe and Ms. Bea and her sister, Ms. Rachel. That friendship endured over the decades in joys and sorrows. Most recently Margaret and Anita attended my son's graduation reception....I will always treasure the pictures of us together at that event as I cherish every memory of the Matthews family eating in my Dad's restaurant at the Atlanta Terminal Station. I grieve with the family in the loss of a caring soul....but I share with you my gratitude for the love our families shared through the decades. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Cathy and family, thank you for sharing Margaret with me. She was one of my "church mothers" and I shall miss her wit and wisdom so much. May God grant you grace and strength through this time of sorrow.
