Martin Sills Obituary

Family-Placed Death Notice

Martin "Marty" Sills passed away on May 5, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 18, 1915. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years Fern Sills, daughter Nancy Sills Ulbricht and her husband Tom Ulbricht of Tucker, Georgia, and daughter Elaine Sills Wright, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Marty is also survived by his two grandsons, Allen Ulbricht and Daniel Ulbricht of whom he was so proud. Marty served his country in Italy during World War II and had a distinguished career as a partner in a heavy equipment business in Fargo, ND, and later working as an engineer for Boeing Corporation in Seattle, WA, and Huntsville, AL. Marty and Fern are members of The Temple in Atlanta. For many years they volunteered weekly at St. Joseph's Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice. Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 11 o'clock a.m. at Arlington Memorial Park. Arrangements were made by Green Lawn Jewish Funeral Services at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel.
