To the Wallace, Garland, I.C.O.H., & D.M. Therrell High School Family:

I can tell by reading this book that we all shared the same feelings about our loved one Marvin Jr. I count it a blessing to have grown up with one of Gods Angels here on earth. Words can not express how our family was touched by his gentle spirit and soul. We will forever hold precious memories of watching a boy turn into a man, a husband, a father, and definately a friend, into our hearts. You will not be forgotten & you will forever be in our prayers. If you ever need anything you know how to reach us. (The Pattillo Crew)

To the family and children especially of Marvin Wallace, Jr. Words can't express the sorrow that I feel for you this day. Your father was such a great person. I came to know Marvin when he and my brother Benjamin Wheeler were buddies back in their younger years at Bunche and Therrell. I can vividly remember Marvin sporting his signature boxed off hair cut stopping by our house in his bug. Seem's like only yesterday. I later went on to Therrell and was given the privileged of seeing his smile from day to day. Marvin was kind and had a sweet gentle spirit about him. Early on, I knew him to be a caring and compassionate gentleman. I hope the thoughts I've expressed leave you with the knowledge that the world was a better place because of Marvin’s existence in it. May his memory live on in all of us. -Ben, Pam and the rest of the Wheeler Family.

Words can't express the way I feel about the loss of a wonderful person. I know this is a hard time but God will never leave your side. When you're feeling confused remember God is the only answer. It is a great loss but you continue to press on as a family and remember that regardless what happens your memories or Love can never be erased.

To Mom, Dad, Ouida, Burke, Chris, Reginald, Auntie, Lil Bro, Ale'shia, Kawoska, lil Jake, & the rest of the Wallace family. I send my sincere condolences to my other family. I have known Marvin Jr. since the kindergarten (Venetian Hills Elem)middle school (Ralph J. Bunche) high school(D.M.Therrell)Class of 1988 so as you can see I have known Marvin Jr basically all my life. No one will ever have the beautiful smile that Marvin Jr. had. He thrived on helping people whether it was towing their car, rebuilding their motors or just lending some money. Marvin Jr. was truly my best friend growing up. It has taken me a couple of weeks to sign the guest book because I have been so blown away. Not only have I lost a chilhood friend, mechanic, brother, child of GOD, I have lost the most beautiful smile I have ever seen in my life. Mom no one will ever take the place of Marvin Jr. your wonderful son so you can cry and ask God for guidance. Ouida I know how you feel because I lost my brother Che' my heart '96 and I still cry to this day so You too can let it out, Dad (Marvin Wallace Sr) Marvin was your son, student and indeed your best friend without you they would not have been a Marvin Wallace Jr. Thank you very much for teaching him to love people, help people, and most of all touch everyones life whom he came in contact with. Reginald Lawrence what can I say Marvin Jr. was your cousin, brother and your best friend no one knew Marvin Jr the way you did and I know it has taken a toll on you but god will comfort you and guide you through. Kawoska may god comfort and keep you through the good times as well as the bad. Kids god loves you and he will watch over you forever.

A shortness on life, no shortness on love;

God has called me home to Heaven above.

Remember me with love,for the joy that I brought;

Remember me with love,in your every thought.

Better plans for me, for another day;

He's lighting my path, leading the way.

I'll be in your hearts wherever you go;

But there is one thing I feel you must know.

You'll see me soon, I'm where there's no pain;

Keeping you close till we meet again.

GOODBYE FOR NOW,

NOT FOREVER

It's so difficult to understand why loss must come to be, But thank God for precious moments that live on in memory. If smiles exchanged and joys expressed, of ups and downs you shared, If times you laughed together, and of all the ways you cared- For when time has brought you comfort through its gentle, healing touch, your most precious gifts will be those thoughts of the one you loved so much.

"What God Hath Promised"

God hath not promised skies always blue,Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through;

God hath not promised sun without rain,Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

But God hath promised strength for the day, Rest for the labor, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from above unfailing sympathy.

"He is Just Away"

He is not dead, he is just away

We'll meet again one happy day

He had to get some needed sleep

Therefore we have no need to weep

He slipped away from all these troubles

In this Old World, sometimes it doubles:

He had to go, he could not stay

For our Master planned it that way
