Stephen Rohrer Obituary

ROHRER, Stephen "Steve" Baldwin

Stephen Baldwin "Steve" Rohrer, 74, died at his home in Decatur on February 23, 2026. Mr. Rohrer was a retired employee of Southern Company Services, where he worked for 39 years as a systems analyst. He was a graduate of Druid Hills High School and Emory University, where he served as president of the Delta Gamma chapter of Phi Gamma Delta. He earned a Master's degree at Georgia State College in Atlanta. He was a ham radio operator (KA4RSZ), a collector and repairer of historic electronics, a photographer, an HO gauge train enthusiast, and an aviator. He made many trips to the annual OshKosh airshow with his co-pilot and friend Ryan Funk and Ryan's family. He was a happy, faithful friend and a loyal family member; he loved eating chicken fingers, fries, ranch dressing, and vanilla ice cream.

Mr. Rohrer was born in Durham, NC. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 11 AM at Holy Trinity Parish (Episcopal), 515 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, GA. Survivors include his sisters, Mrs. Martha Stroud of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Katherine T. Rohrer of Durham, NC; a brother, Bob Rohrer, of Durham; and nieces and nephews.
