Family-Placed Death Notice
MARY JANE KENNY HEMINGWAY> Mary Jane "Jandy" Kenny Hemingway, 56, of Atlanta and formerly of Summit, NJ, died May 12, 2006. Mrs. Hemingway was a graduate of Oak Knoll of the Holy Child School in Summit, NJ and Penn Hall Junior College. She also attended the University of Arizona. She worked as a Financial Specialist at Wachovia Bank in Atlanta and at Manufacturers Hanover Bank in New York. Survivors include her daughters, Christina and Lauren Hemingway of Atlanta; mother, Mary Jane Devine Kenny of Bernardsville, NJ; siblings, Bonnie Cooper of Summit, NJ, Christine Frisbee of New York, NY, Susan Long of Nazareth, PA, Linda Kenny of Charlotte, NC, Karen Kenny of New York, NY, James D. Kenny of Boston, MA, Peter C. Kenny of Mendham, NJ, Meganne Cusato of West Chester, PA, Christopher Kenny of Gladstone, NJ, Mark Kenny of West Harrison, NY, Tara McKenna of Leesburg, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mary Jane Hemingway Children's Educational Trust, C/O Wachovia Bank, 3235 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305. Funeral services will be held in Basking Ridge, NJ. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 14, 2006 from 2 to 4 o'clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 (404) 851-9900.

Jandy and I had some wonderful times in NYC when she was living in the 50's. I only just heard the tragic news today. My prayers have already gone out to Jandy as well as to her mother, brothers, sisters and her daughters. Always cherished receiving her Christmas photo cards. Prayers will continue and she will live on in love.

My youngest daughter, Kristin, went to school with Christina which is how I became friends with Jandy. I spoke to her a few months ago and found out her cancer had returned. I've been thinking of her a lot lately and was so saddened to see her obituary in today's paper. Christina and Lauren, your Mom was a good woman and loved you both very much. I know you'll both miss her desperately as will those of us who considered her a friend. Take care of yourselves and God Bless.
