Family-Placed Death Notice

Maxie Curry Tate, Jr., age 55, of 1295 Villa Dr. #5228, Ellijay, GA. died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 in N. Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born in Lompoc, CA. He was a member of the Ellijay Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a former member of Providence United Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in accounting. Maxie held a CPA license, pilots license and a utility manager license. He owned and operated V.M. Battle Construction Co. Survivors include wife, Jane Donohue Tate, Home; step-sons, Nicholas Jon Terminello, Home; David Michael Terminello, Home; parents, Maxie Curry Tate, Sr. and Flora Sykes Tate, Graham, NC; sister, Sherry Denise Tate, Japan; brothers, Dennis Andrew Tate and wife Song, Graham, NC, John Sykes Tate and wife Becky, Burlington, NC; loving nieces and nephews, Heather Tate, Mikayla Tate, Anna Hirose and Jonathan Tate. A celebration of Max's life will be held Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 4:00 PM at the Ellijay Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pastor Mike Conley. 1st I would like to say that I am deeply sadden for the loss of your loved one, for everyone that has every know Max knows that we have lost a great man!!! may memories bring all of you that knew him peace...now more on a personal note papa max you will be dearly missed and forever loved...you made my mom so happy and filled her heart with love, laughter, and life and I'm sure that in memory she will hold onto and cherish you until you two meet again...I know that the angels are smiling down on all of us right now because they have you there to entertain them now...mommy jane you know that I'm just a phone call away if you need me...I know that the pain is unbearable right now but just think about all of the happy times that maxie gave us...we'll have to have a bowl of ice cream for him lol....papa max we love you...until we touch again I'll be smiling at the heaven above knowing that your looking down on all of us....rest in peace daddy....

Max is now in a place were he can talk with all the greats about their flying days even will be able to find out from the Wright Brothers if they were trying to get to Mytrle Beach for a round of Golf on that fateful morning.
