Moleta "Nina" Ann Tate, 81, beloved wife of the late William Tate, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Anderson Rollins and Pauline Buckner Kelley. Known lovingly as "Nina" to all who knew her, she was a woman whose kindness and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Nina was a faithful member of Sans Souci Baptist Church. She had a servant's heart, always putting others before herself, and had a special way of seeing the good in everyone. She was loyal, thoughtful, always on the go, and found joy in caring for others.

She dedicated 40 years of service to WR Grace/Scott's Company and later continued her work in the cafeteria at Welcome Elementary School, where she touched many lives with her caring spirit.

Nina found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking, crocheting, and especially attending her grandchildren's games and events. Her home was often filled with the sounds of gospel and country music, reflecting her deep love for her faith.

Above all, Nina loved her Lord, her church, and her family. She was a wonderful woman of deep faith, strong work ethic, and unwavering family values.

She was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by sons, Ian Tate (Amy) and William "George" Tate, Jr. (Jill); grandchildren, Victoria Tate, Alexandria Tate, Tyler Tate (Brooke), Abigial Nabors (Lane), and Logan Tate; great-grandchildren, Adalyn Johnson, Asher Johnson, Tatum Etris, Jaxon Tate, Evelyn Hummel, Gracelyn Tate, Kinsley Nabors, and Madelyn Nabors.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery West.
