Jessie Geraldine Pace, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 15, 2026, at the age of 81 in Greenville, South Carolina.

Jessie was born on December 15, 1941, in Greenville, South Carolina, a daughter of the late James Chambers and Stella Cowart. Jessie devoted her life to her family, raising multiple generations and finding purpose in caring for those she loved most. Being Presbyterian faith she devoted her life to the word of God. Jessie believed in showing up, doing the right thing, and never leaving people guessing her love. Family was always at the center of Jessie's world, and she gave herself to it fully.

Throughout her life she was known as Jessie but also commonly went by her middle name, Geraldine. The names she cherished most, however, were 'Mom' and 'Grandma'. Jessie had a strong and giving spirit. She believed in taking care of others and was happiest when surrounded by family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and simple everyday moments.

She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Hampton Pace Sr.; one sister, OlaMae Redding; one brother, Robert Chambers; two daughters, Robin Hollman, Sonya (Steve) Fowler-Vaughn; two sons, Thomas 'Tommy' (Renee) Pace, Arthur (Angie) Pace Jr.; sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jake Cowart, Charles Chambers; three sisters, Betty Sue Drummond, Leila Cole, Josephine Helton; one great-grandson, Gavin Kimbrell.

Jessie's legacy is one of love, devotion, and family. The lessons she taught, the love she shared, and memories she created will live on through the multiple generations she helped raise. Though she will be dearly missed, her family finds comfort in knowing her love will forever remain in their hearts.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery West.
