Charles Peyton Pace, age 80, of Dalton, Georgia (formally of Trenton, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Charles will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Baptist Cemetery in Trenton. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton prior to departing for the cemetery.
Charles was born on July 7, 1945 to the late Edwin and Ogreeta Ballard Pace and spent his early years in the Trenton area. He received his Bachelor's Degree while attending Georgia Tech and then later graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, where he also received his PhD in Bio Chemistry. He was employed for several years with the University of Minnesota where he dedicated himself to medical research. Following his career, he moved back to Dalton, Georgia to be closer to family. In Dalton, he also worked with the Forester family's business for several years. Charles will be remembered as a kind and dedicated person and will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Forester of Dalton, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Fuller and brother, Ed Pace.
