William Rex Howard

William Rex Howard, 85, loving husband of Myra Grahm Howard for 60 years went to his Heavenly home on March 17, 2026.

Born in Simpsonville, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Samuel T. Howard and Kathleen P. Howard. He owned his own successful sheet metal business for 40 years until he retired.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind a son, Christopher Rex Howard; a daughter-in-law, Michaelann Howard; and the love of his life, his precious granddaughter, Charlotte "Charli" Kathleen Howard. He also leaves special nieces and nephews, Marlene Howard, Michael Howard, Scott Lawson, Renea Masters and Dean Berry.

He was predeceased by a brother, Samuel T. Howard and three sisters, Janice H. Rynes, Viriginia H. Lawson and Martha H. Berry.

Rex's hobbies were deer hunting and fishing, but what he loved most was playing with Charli, swinging her and taking her to Cracker Barrel.

Visitation will be held between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, located in Greer, South Carolina. A graveside service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
