Viola A. Rogers, 90 of Nazareth, PA passed away with her loving family at her side on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA.

Viola was the loving wife of the late George Albert Rogers who preceded her in death on June 26, 2021. They were high school sweethearts and married 64 years before his passing.

She was born in White Plains, NY on February 26, 1936, daughter of the late Harold E. Hatfield Sr, and Anna L. (Schubert) Hatfield.

Viola was a 1957 graduate of the Monmouth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.

Viola had a long nursing career that began at Monmouth Memorial Hospital in Monmouth, NJ, Memorial Hospital in Panama City, FL, St Barnabas Hospital, Livingston, NJ, Teresa Garada Nursing Home in Caldwell, NJ, Pulmonologist office with Dr. Safferstien and Julia Ribaudo Nursing Home in Lake Ariel, PA. After retiring she worked with Comfort Keepers in Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

With her travels, she attended many different churches: - Bayview Presbyterian Church of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, Caldwell United Methodist Church (UMC), Caldwell, NJ, Lakeville UMC, Lakeville, PA

Covenant UMC, Greer, SC, Salem UCC, Gilbert, PA and the 1st Presbyterian Church, Upper Smithfield Township, PA.

Viola was the kind of woman whose presence could light up a room ~ warm, generous, caring and endlessly loving. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, camping, gatherings with family and friends, singing in church choirs. She was a Girl Scout Leading, a 4 H Club leader for square dancing and Cross Trail and Square Wheelers Dance Clubs.

We have been blessed with the presence of Viola in our lives. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Deborah Gail Krull and spouse Patrick of Bushkill, PA, Sandra Louise Wright and spouse Dr. Christopher C. Wright of Simpsonville, SC, Viola Elizabeth Krouse and spouse Douglas of Kunkletown, PA and Donna Ann Kunkle and spouse Scott A. of Union Dale, PA.

She was the loving grandmother to Diana M. Hessek and spouse Dan and their children: Charlotte, Claire and Nora, Jennifer Brutosky and spouse Bryn and their children: Liam and Aurelia, Patrick Krull and spouse Jill, Brittany Brooks and spouse Loudon and their son Quinn, and Crystal Krull.

She is also survived by two sisters: Sharon Kramer and spouse Norman of Morgan, NJ and a sister-in-law: Evelyn Hatfield-Tonnessen of Matawan, NJ and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband George Albert Rogers, and parents: Harold and Anna, she was preceded in death by a brother; Harold E. Hatfield II.

Services will be announced at a later date. Viola will be laid to rest at the Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Effort, PA.
