Phillip POTTS Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
POTTS, Phillip Webb Phillip Webb Potts of Dunwoody, Georgia, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21st, 2013 at Halcyon Hospice. He was born to William David Potts and Ruth Evelyn Stoner on June 30th, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee. Phillip's beloved son John predeceased him in 2009. Survivors are his daughter Laura Potts, sister Rebecca Reeves of Richmond, Virginia, brother Sonny Potts and his wife Wynelle of College Park, Georgia, his significant other Sara Armstrong and many nieces and nephews. Phillip also leaves behind his best friend, his dog Murphy. Phillip graduated from Georgia Tech in 1962 with a Bachelor's Degree and from Georgia State in 1968 with a MBA. He retired in 1998 from Dekalb County as the Economic Development Coordinator. He was an active member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 28th, 2013 at 12:00pm in the chapel at Dunwoody United Methodist Church on Mount Vernon Road. Phillip will be interred within church grounds next to his son. Visitation with his family will be held for one hour before the chapel service. Byars Funeral Home 678-455-5815

Well I just trying to email Phil about another friend s death that occurred in when I came upon Phillip s death. Peter Kategiannes was the mutual friend and his wife Georgia...Had no idea Phil was gone too...We used to be friends. Shared a lot of ideas over the years. Had no idea he was sick and unto death. Last time I saw him was at John s funeral...So sorry for Laura, Martha, Rebecca and the
