On Sunday, March 15, 2015, Rachel Bohan of Atlanta, Georgia passed away after a brief, but intense battle with Type 1 Diabetes. Rachel was born and raised in Franklin, TN and attended Page High School from 1997 - 2001. In her freshman year Rachel was admitted into the Scholars Program and the "Great Books" classes led by Dr. Ron Thompson. Through Dr. Thompson's mentorship, Rachel cultivated a deep love and respect for literature, art and philosophy. Rachel attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA, where she made the Dean's List in 2004 and 2005, and was a member of Sigma Tau Delta, The National English Honors Society. She graduated in 2005 with degrees in English and Art History. Shortly thereafter, Rachel began working as an editor at the High Museum of Art, where she remained for nearly eight years, working on numerous major exhibitions and publications. She took great pride in her work and loved bringing art and books to the world. Rachel touched many lives through her gentle spirit and peaceful nature. She loved animals and had been a strict vegetarian since the age of 10. She adored "nerdy" pursuits like board games, Dragoncon and science fiction, with Star Trek: The Next Generation a particular passion. Rachel loved to laugh and took great joy in the absurdities of life, her shy demeanor belying a fiercely intelligent sense of humor and a sharp wit. She enjoyed dancing, chatting on front porches until the wee hours of the morning, snuggling with her cats, camping, watching Bob's Burgers and spending time with her friends and family. Rachel was pure peace and beauty inside and out, and wherever she is, whatever cosmic journey she is now on, she is surely surrounded by the light and love she bestowed upon others. -written by Danielle Avram Morgan

Lots of sweet memories of Rachel as a babe. We lived in Louisville, Ky and came home for special occasions. She was 6 months younger than our Morgan, and we passed all precious clothing to Rachel. So beautiful for both. When we returned to Nashville 15 yrs later,Rachel was into theatre and Morgan into soccer. I am so glad she pursued her theatirics and Ron Jr. did as well. It seems all blessed children that are supported did as we are hoping they will - pursue! God bless you Rachel and your desire to the very best you could do and made us all so proud. Love you so much and may God Bless you and your Mom, Bata and Don and all your family.

What a beautiful soul she must have been. I wish i had gotten to know her. She is truly a reflection of her mother, who i am sure, bestowed the virtue of a brilliant soul, onto Rachel...she is resting easy now and will continue to shine brightly in her mother's heart.
