It was a privilege to know Ralph and we especially enjoyed being about to discuss travel locations with him. Upon learning of our interest in the Lewis & Clark expedition, he gave us a book about the trail which we have used many times. We will continue to utilize the book this summer with a trip to several expedition sites. By the time we complete our travels this summer we will have explored approximately 70 % of the trail using Ralph's gift. Ralph was one of the most interesting, thought provoking, sincere and engaging people that we have ever met. We will miss him very much.

It was my great pleasure to be associated with Ralph for many years in the Druid Hills Civitan Club which he served so faithfully and to be able to call him my "friend." I found him to be an extremely competent but yet thoroughly delightful person--sometimes a rarity for an engineer. I shall miss him greatly, and I extend my condolences to his family.

Ralph was a dear friend to my husband, Bill Chenault, and me. He visited my husband while he was a Budd Terrace until he died Feb. 2005. His wife, Gertrude, was a dear friend to us also. Ralph was truly a gentleman and a person full of love for his fellow man. I am sure that he has been welcomed in heaven and that he and Gertrude are together again. My prayers are with all of you at this time.
