BOYCE, Randy CAPTAIN RANDY STANFORD BOYCE Celebration of Life Service for Captain Randy Stanford Boyce, of Douglasville, Saturday, August 1, 2009; 11:00AM at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, 534 Fairburn Rd. NW (404) 691-4238. Rev. Dr. Gregory Sutton, Pastor. Pastor Charles Rogers, officiating. Remains in state 10:00 AM. Cortege assemble 9:30AM at 3235 Thornridge Trail, Douglasville. Interment Westview. Survivors include: a beautiful and devoted wife, Alice M. Cook-Boyce; daughters, Ravyn and Jodi Boyce; son, Randal Boyce; parents, Pastor Napoleon and Willie Beatrice Boyce; brothers, Jerry (Beulah), Jessie (Mari), Raymond, and Chris (Corrine) Boyce; sister, Wanda Boyce-Hardaway (Pastor Neil Hardaway); and a host of extended family members and friends. A college fund for Miss Ravyn Boyce has been established. Donations may be made at any Wachovia Bank branch. Wake Service, THIS EVENING, 8-9PM at Willie A. Watkins Historical West End Chapel, 1003 Ralph D. Abernathy Blvd. SW (404) 758-1731.

Three things I know for sure Randy loved the Lord, his wife and Ravyn. His warm smile and laughter always made you feel welcome. He will truly be missed in the neighborhood. God has chosen him to be an angel. Always remember his life wasn't measured on how many breaths he took but the breath of life he gave to others. May God's mercy and grace be your comfort.

It has been 33 years since the Boyce family allowed me to spend the summer with them in Covington, TN. that was probably the best summer that I have ever had! Randy was a great person, always smiling, always teaching, and always keeping Raymond in check! (smile)
I have not seen Randy since that summer but over the years I have often thought about the wonderful time that I was able to experience with the Boyce family! You are in my prayers!

After my mother moved to Covington TN when I was 13, I really had a hard time adjusting. After I started attending the Covington COGIC, Randy became my big brother and he allowed me to hang out with him, Raymond and little Chris. He even talked me into joining the Covington boxing team.(What was I thinking) I even tried to follow him into the Marines (but I couldn't pass the physical so I ended up in the Air Force). Thank you Pastor and Mother Boyce for sharing your son with me and so many others. Thank you Jerry, Jessie, Wanda, Raymond and Chris for sharing your brother. Randy played a vital role in helping me become the person I am today. I know the Lord has said "Well done thy GOOD and FAITHFUL Servant" I pray God's Peace and Blessings upon the Boyce family and all of his friends.

When His sister Wanda became my best friend and (than)Deacon Boyce & Mother Boyce would feed us practically every Sunday after church to keep my family from driving so far back home in between services; sigh... To My Pastor, Mother Boyce, and Sister Alice I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Randy was a very nice person. Every time I came to church he was always smiling and he was a very happy go lucky person. Even though I did not know Randy long I felt I have know him for years. I feel your pain and my advice to you is God Knows best. Randy is no longer suffering and he is watching over you now in heaven, he is now God's Angel up above.
