Family-Placed Death Notice

Richard Demone "Scooby" Harris, 24, of Atlanta, GA. died Monday, July 24, 2006. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. EDT Saturday, July 29, 2006 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 15060 Hwy. 280/431, Smiths Station, AL. The family will receive family and friends Friday, July 29, 2006 from 1 until 8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home, Inc. and at the family home, 813-24th Ave., Phenix City, AL. Mr. Harris was born November 25, 1981 in Columbus, GA, son of Frank and Rosie Jones Harris. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William and Nellie Harris, maternal grandmother, Mattie Jones; uncle, Richard Harris; aunts, Martha Nell Wade, Annie Jones Hicks; cousin, Delonyus Phillips. To cherish his memory, other than his parents are one son, Richard Demon, Atlanta, GA; five daughters, Shakira and Ravans, Atlanta and Iyana Harris, Ja'hia Hulings and Ashauria of Columbus; one brother, Dimitri L. Harris, Atlanta, GA; grandfather, Isiah "Ike" Jones, Phenix City, AL; two God sisters, Lynne Putman and Octavia Ashford; two God brothers, De-Andre Bess and John Ashford; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special friend, Cecelia Bacon.

i can't believe you're gone scooby. i wish i could've known u more than the 3 years i have, but that time has seemed like forever. u always made me laugh, especially when we tripped out laughing at mini me, haha, remember that? lol! u were crazy and i'm glad i had the chance to know u. i remember for the first 6 months i knew u you didn't know my name, lol. u used to call me buddy all the time! haha, it was funny cause i knew u didn't know my name and i never told u cause i wanted to see how long you'd call me that, then when u finally found out my name u was like hey lissa! lol, i said to myself he just now figured out my name after 6 months, lol. u used to crack me up all the time. u always made me laugh! i can't believe you're gone.. i love you and i will always remember you. i wish i could've have a little more time to spend with you. rest in peace. i miss u..
