I loved his lectures. So brilliant. Still remember being in his bed on Ponce when I turned 21.

Best teacher that I ever had. He left an indelible mark and his voice echoes through time and space.

Dear Indra and Mark,
I just found this notice of Richard´s passing and I wanted to convey my sincere condolences to you both. In the early 1970s, I took many of Richard´s classes at GSU and he directed my Masters´ thesis on Gustav Klimt, so I have many fond memories of his animated teaching and his generous and unfailing scholarly support. I owe a deep debt of gratitude to him for inspiring my career as an Art Historian. This tribute mentions a vacation home in Asheville, which is my hometown and where I retired in 2018 after over 30 years teaching in Colorado. If you still come to this area, I would be delighted to meet you and share more stories. I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. M.E. Warlick (me.warlick at du.edu), Professor Emerita, University of Denver

I´d like to extend my sympathies to Dr. Moore´s family. He was one of the most brilliant professors I had during my undergrad, sincerely this gentleman was an absolute genius. Moreover, he took time to get together with us his students to just chat about Art History at random restaurants in Atlanta. He talked beauty, `the feminine´, architecture, and so many aspects to the art that we thought we knew. Dr. Moore imbued these kids with a sense of awe that comes from the greater understanding he imparted.
Personally, I can say that he gave me great academic and life advice that helped launch me in the right direction.
Thank you for sharing your genius and kindness with us, Dr. Moore.
