Family-Placed Death Notice
Mr. Robert Clarence McLendon, 70, of Center Point, Texas, formerly of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 5, 2005. He is survived by wife, Alma, two daughters: Pam Fortner, Douglasville, Stacey King and son-in-law, Del King, Kennesaw and five grandchildren, Ashley, Allie and Cole Fortner, Douglasville, Gavin and Chloe King, Kennesaw, and brother, James McLendon of Texas. Services will be Friday, September 9, in Comfort, Texas. Arrangements by Schaetter Funeral Home.

Thank you so much for your memories of our Dad.
Dad's death was sudden and happened while traveling for work. He was an independent insurance adjuster and was working claims caused by hurricane Katrina. He was in Florida and in route to Mississippi. He loved his work and was happy to be helping others. Dad taught us many lessons in life, especially laughter and strong family values. My Dad was a kind loving man with a big heart. I couldn't have asked for a better father,friend or Pepa for my children. I wish I had 1 more opportunity to tell him just how much that he meant to us.

Remember Bobby or Seymour as he was affectionetly called as a real fun loving guy who never met a joke he didn't like. Sorry that we have been out of touch for so many years.

Bobby grew up about 2 blocks from me on Hampton St in College Park,Ga. Have know him for at least 50 yrs. He was a great person,always laughing & a good sport. We will all miss him from CPHS grads.
