Family-Placed Death Notice
PETERSON, Robin A. After a courageous battle of two years, Robin A. Peterson lost his fight against pancreatic cancer. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, December 1st from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Robin was a 1960 graduate of Port Angeles High School in Washington. He served for three years in the US Navy and then moved to New Britain, CT and worked for Stanley Works and CSEC. He then relocated to Georgia and worked for MSA/ DBS, and S1 Corp. He retired from NTT Data in 2011. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Peterson of Kennesaw; daughter, Pamela Marthinson and her husband, Matt of Greenville, SC son, Paul Peterson and his wife, Carolyn of Purcellville, VA, son, Marc Peterson and his wife, Julie of Acworth, daughter, Heather Prinkleton and husband, Jeff of Canton, son, Leon Burdette and wife, Twila of Sterrett, AL, son, Michael Burdette of Marietta; seventeen grandchildren; mother, Margaret Dawson of Poulsbo, WA, sister, Shelly Cornellus and her husband, John of Poulsbo, WA, sister, Loretta Peterson of Seattle, WA, brother, Harold A. Peterson of Port Angeles, WA, brother, Marc Peterson and wife Theresa of Soldotna, AK. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O. Robin Peterson was surely one of the most positive influences in my career and an unforgettable man. No one was more kind, no one more generous with their time, no one was a better mentor for others and no one had better ideas. He was an example for others in his work and his personal life. A gentle man who never had but good words for all. He is a person I will never forget. Rest in peace my friend.

It's certainly NOT an exaggeration to say Robin was one of the Sweetest, Dearest people at MSA, during almost my entire time there. My Sympathy to all of you; I can't imagine the extent of loss you're experiencing, and I hope you're comforted by precious memories.
