Roger CAMP Obituary

CAMP, Roger Allen Roger Allen Camp, 76, of Marietta, passed away Tuesday, January 19th, 2016. Roger served at Yorktown Naval Weapons Station from 1963-1965 then began his career as an aeronautical engineer with Cape Canaveral. He completed degrees from Georgia Tech and Georgia State Universities in engineering and accounting, was chief financial officer for Atlanta's Motor Convoy & Allied Systems and was a professional accountant for Omni's Atlanta Civic Center. He was a leader in the Decatur Kiwanis, Gideon's International and was a devoted Christian father. Roger was an inspiration to, and loving member of, his community. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn; one brother, Donald Robert; two daughters Kimberly Dias (John) and Kristen Sleboda (Thomas); three grandchildren, Sarah, Sean and David Sleboda. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23rd from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at H M Patterson Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Rd, Marietta, GA 30068. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 24th, at H M Patterson Canton Hill Chapel. To leave an online condolence to the family, please visit this website: HMPattersonCantonhill.com. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will have fond and loving memories of Roger. He always had a smile and was a joy to have at our gym. He wanted to stay home and thanks to you and your hard work, you granted him his wish. We are so sorry for your loss.

Roger was always special to the volunteers with the Aloha to Aging program. He did his best to e a part of all activities with
the group. His sweet smile was so refreshing and he talked about his family often. His memory will live on with me.
