Romell Battle Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Homegoing services for Mr. Romell S. Battle (Ro/Joe) of Decatur, will be held Saturday, November 1, 2003, 12 noon at the Walker Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3548 Boulder Park Dr., S.W. with the Rev. R.L. Jackson, officiating. Remains will be placed in state from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment, Southview Cemetery. Mr. Battle is survived by a loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Jennifer A. Johnson; father, Mr. Romell Battle; one daughter, O'Nesty S. Battle; one brother, Anthony Jermaine White, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church by 11:45 a.m. Stocks Funeral Home, 1970 Hosea L. Williams Dr., 404-377-0458-9.

It is a tragedy when someone is taken from the earth at a young age. Romell was young and full of life and touched everyone that he knew. Romell's life was lived to the fulliest, with no regrets and lots of love for his family and friends. He looked out for those around him and was a care giver. The Lord took his solider home, so we will rejoice in Ro's life and remember him in his death. His presence will be greatly missed from Decatur to 4th Ward... We love and miss you Ro!!!!

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Romell's family. Ro was the funniest person i've ever known, i'll always remember his beautiful smile and the way he would wear his pants hanging almost to the ground. Things will never be the same in our lil cut (447-453).Thank you Ro for all the good memories. Your presents is truly missed even thou I wasn't in the main crew;)

My memories of Romell date back to Elementry School, and continue through High School. He was the type of person that made you laugh, and always kept a smile on your face. My continuous prayers are with his mother and entire family. God Bless!!

Although I can't really remember when and where I first met Ro Ro, I do know that I can and will never forget him. I have memories of when he would come to the recreation center off of Blvd. (Carver Eastiside Boys & Girls club) as well as fun memories of when we attended middle as well as high school together. One things for sure, whenever Ro was around it was known. When you were feeling down, he always was able to place a smile on your face by saying something crazy/funny. You will ALWAYS and FOREVER be miss.
