Sandra SACKER

1936 - 2016

SACKER, Sandra Peckham Sandra Sacker, age 80, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on September 5, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born on August 30, 1936 in Athol, MA, moved to Atlanta at the age of 15. She attended North Fulton High School and joined Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church where she played an active role, supporting the ministries of the church through her generous gifts and service. She was energetic and enthusiastic in her leadership and support of The Link Counseling Center where she first served as a volunteer and then the Administrative Director for 25 years. Sandra had a loving spirit and always made others laugh. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jeanne Peckham, and her second husband, John Sacker. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Connie Hart, daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jeffrey Phillips, grandsons, Jordan Phillips and Brendan Phillips and sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Bill Wardrep. Family and Friends are invited to share in the Celebration of Life on Saturday September 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church located at 3016 Lanier Dr. NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church or The Link Counseling Center (www.thelink.org).
