On September 11, 2025, Carolyn Minnie (nee White) Sacker peacefully passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Calvin P. Sacker; devoted mother of Wayne Sacker and his wife Kim, and the late Pamela and Janice Sacker. Carolyn was a loving grandmother to Rachel Whitley and her husband Jimmy, and Christina Benesh, and a cherished great-grandmother to Cameron, Tamara, Jalin, Brayden, Peyton, and Kwen. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and her sister-in-law, Mary White.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, John P. White Sr. and Elizabeth Lydia Anna (nee Hack) White, along with her brother, John White Jr., and her sister, Lydia Jones, and her husband Bill.
Carolyn’s heart was full of love for her family, her animals, and her faith. She cherished her loyal dog, Bella, and her cat, Zoe. A woman of strong faith, she remained dedicated to her Lutheran roots throughout her life. She found joy in raising her great-grandson, Cameron, and treasured every moment spent with him. Carolyn enjoyed the simple pleasures—playing solitaire and word search puzzles, ceramics, and tending to her vegetable gardens. She was a devoted Baltimore Orioles fan and delighted in traveling with her husband, Calvin, especially in the autumn months when they could admire the changing foliage, winding mountain roads, and quiet retreats at their vacation property in West Virginia. Carolyn also enjoyed gathering with her sister, brother and classmates, many of whom remained lifelong friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and again from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00am. Carolyn will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Parkwood Cemetery.
