To the Family of Tanesha Williams:
I want to offer my sincere condolences to the Williams family. I did not know Tanesha but when I watched a short clip of her being interviewed in regards to being a part of a group of young people who wanted to put an end to senseless violence among young people, I knew she was very special. I was moved to tears because at that moment, I realized that she already knew that it would take young people to get involved to bring about change. She wanted to make a difference. As I watched her grandmother speak about how much she missed her, I thought of my own 6 year old granddaughter whom I love dearly. I pray that she will grow up and try to make a difference just as Tanesha did. God only gave her that assignment for a short time but her friends who are left behind will need to continue. I pray for each one of her family members and want to remind you that she truly was an angel here on earth. I will keep you all in my prayers.
