Ga Tech Mom

Sometimes the support a man gives to a community is not properly acknowledged until it is too late. Tom generously supported the Georgia Tech gymnastics team, allowing the college club team to work out in his facility purely for the love of the sport. Thank you Tom, for keeping gymnastics alive for college students who would otherwise have to hang up their grips. Rest in peace.

Tom was a quiet leader among the gymnastics community. He was one of the first owners I met when we came to Atlanta over 30 years ago. I will miss him stoppping in at the men's competitions. The gymnastics community will miss him.

My daughter, Sydney McAllister McGuire, learned so much as a gymnast from Tom at ASG and continued with her gymnastics as a Freshman at Georgia. Tom was admired, respected and so appreciated by the parents and his students. Our condolences to his family during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of having Tom as gymnastic coach many years ago. He was a great coach and example to those around him. I remember him asking me to do a couple of more flips. I was so tired and would say how many is a couple..he just laugh and say two. He will truly be missed.

Tom was a tennis buddy who often traveled a long distance to play on short notice - as long as it didn't conflict with Thomas' promising career. He was a true gentleman on & off the court. I will greatly miss him.

Tom's family has lost a loving husband and father. The gymnastics community has lost a quiet leader who taught many of us to be better coaches and better people. Always patient, always willing to share. What a great role model for his children, his athletes and his coaching friends. He became as enthusiastic for tennis as he always was for gymnastics. I called him for advice many times over the thirty five years I knew him. I didn't call him enough. I will miss Tom, and so will many, many others.

We have had the honor to know Tom Cook for the past few years through our son Bobby. He has played doubles with Thomas and traveled all over the south with both Thomas and Tom. He was a devoted father and great role model. He will be truly missed by all the tennis parents and boys.

I have known Tom Cook since I was a child taking gymnastics at ASG- and then later I worked with Tom at ASG for 8 years. He was such a nice person, always doing anything for the kids. He will truely be missed in the gymnastics community, and I am sure his family will miss him as well. I will be praying for the family, and will keep them all in my thoughts.

Tom Cook has been a dear friend for over 30 years. He was gentle, patient, kind and generous with his knowledge. He was a loving parent, loving husband and a loving friend. I, along with so many others, will truly miss him.
