Thomas Fuller Obituary

FULLER, III, Thomas

March 17, 1939 - September 9, 2025

Thomas Fuller III, was born at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA, to the late Thomas and Deas Smith Fuller. He was the oldest brother to Carleton Fuller and Dr. Samuel Fuller, who both preceded him in death. He grew up in Lookout Mountain, GA, and Atlanta, GA. He attended Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN, and Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA, and graduated from Georgia Tech.

Tom was a wonderful husband, dad and papa. He loved working with his hands and teaching about mechanics. His automobile collection included corvettes, street rods, military vehicles, motorcycles and vintage cars, including a 1926 T model that was the first car he owned. His collection brought many friendships into his life.

Serving in the United States Army and training to be an airplane mechanic added to Tom's life experiences. He was a proud American.

Tom stayed true to the legacies of his father and grandfather in many ways, including being a 60 year member of the Piedmont Driving Club, a ramblin' wreck from Georgia Tech, and working for Westinghouse soon after college graduation.

In 1967, Tom founded and was President of Ful-Bro Engineering, Inc. After retirement he was proud to see Ful-Bro prosper and continue to be competitive in the Atlanta market under the direction of Patrick Benton.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Karen Kincaid Fuller; children, Thomas Fuller IV (Jackie Fuller), Cynthia Fuller, and Dr. Kimberly Fuller Hobbs (Dr. Brandon Hobbs); grandchildren, Dr. Aulbrey Fuller Drisaldi, TJ Fuller, Camden Fuller, Savannah Hobbs and Thomas Carl Hobbs; and sister-in-law, Carol Ann Fuller.

A private service will be held to honor Tom at his favorite place in the world, Lookout Mountain, TN.
