I am certain this is the Virgil Hill Jr I was stationed with at Ellsworth AFB, SD. There is no doubt I have thought of Virgil and his beautiful family at least monthy for over 40 years.
He was one of the best men I have ever met in my life. What a true gentleman! A wonderful man! His wife - a true delight!
My wife Gwen & I were in their house many times and enjoyed "Southern" cooking one time and I believe "Scottish" cooking one other time. We had them to our apartment a couple of times for "Scandinavian" cooking.
At the time, they had three of the most beautiful boys you'd ever want to see.
I am deeply saddened to find this notice of his passing. What a man!

A patriot has pased! Virgil dedicated his life to serving the country he loved. Whether it was in the military or working for the Department of Defense as a civilian, Virgil was on the front lines, exactly where he wanted to be. My hat is off to you Virgil and my sincere condolences go out to your loved ones. Michael B. Johnson, Special Agent (ret)

Virgil you have been so greatly missed by us already. Every day I have the most fondest memories I think about. I miss our daily talks and your smile and your great hugs. You are one of the most exceptional, kindest. and loving person I've had the pleasure knowing. I'm so blessed that you were a part of our lives and so sad that we did not have more time with you.

Know that your loving wife is my best friend and that we think the world of her. She'll never be alone or have a need that we won't help with. Lyn we are always here for you and the door is always open. You know how much you are both loved by us and our memories will always keep us happy and strong.
